Many thanks as usual to Mad Raving Stark for provding me with this little gem to share with you all.
Jeez, what can i say about this one? If you like the Live at Leeds sound, you're gonna flip over
this one! The spirit of that era lived on in JAE, and it shows in his playing. The man rips it up
righteously on this set.
Shot from the second row, John's side, about 3 feet back,
It's 1+ hour of closeup's of John and his amazing Thunderfingers. Well, Godfrey Townshend does sneek
in there every now and then, but the focus of this dvd is between the interaction of John and Steve
Luongo, who do their utmost level best to throw each other's timing off!! Needless to say, John doesn't
falter in the least, leaving Steve exhausted by the end of the set. But Lordy, does it make for some
great playing!
The sound is what you'd expect from a camera that was 6 feet away from John's rig, which, BTW, was his
regular stereo concert rig!! A little distorted, but with the right eq'ing, it comes out pretty good.
There are a few occasional video blackouts at the beginnig from the filmer hiding his camera, but
these eventually go away when he realizes the waitresses aren't going to bust him.
