EDITING NOTES: Transferred from the original master tape, the recording that was the source of this remaster was very generously made available by a the original taper, JEMS. All thanks must go to him for making the incredible original recording, keeping it all these years and transferring it, providing a huge upgrade to what was previously circulated of his original recording from higher generation tape copies. It is with the greatest appreciation that I made this attempt to provide an alternative to the raw transfer. The performance was recorded using two mics and there is some noise and dropouts that occur in one or both channels from time to time. This is seldom and hardly interferes with the overall listening experience. In a few cases, I attempted to mask these noises/dropouts by replacing the noisy section with the other channel without the dropout or using specific amplitude adjustments. I also attempted to bring out some of the more neglected frequency ranges in the recording. I tried many variations and made numerous comparisons before finally deciding on the correct adjustments to be made. I think at the end of the day, this is an amazing recording in any form and one of the best audience recordings of the '76 tour and perhaps many others. Whether you like this remaster or loathe it...Enjoy The Who!!

Notes: JEMS master recording and excellent sounding recording. This is the first time(August 2009) a transfer of this recording has been made available directly from the master cassette. All songs are complete with the only cut at the tape flip during the audience cheering between Magic Bus/Sparks.
After about a seven week layoff The Who returned to the stage for the first night of their 'Worldwind Tour' which consisted of 2 shows at the Capital Centre just outside Washington D.C. and 2 shows in Florida. Despite being a little rusty this was a great show, as was the following night. This was my first long road trip to see The Who, and this first night I was in the eighth row, on Pete's side of the stage. This is one of my best Who recordings. I've included a couple of photos I took during Sparks this night. tapeboy for JEMS
