Should be, of course. Dunno if seeing it today would have the same impact...it was very tied to a certain historical period, all that it talks about may seems simply madness now, kind of anachronistic. It's also not very light and conveys a certain anguish...watch it when you feel very happy  Wink

nice review, rossy.   Smiley
i just love the 60s'! i'm fascinated for the counterculture movement. maybe that dream is/was impossible, or  naive, but way better than what we have now - to me, not even a nice culture or a dream to fight for.
anyway, i'm veeeeery curious about antonioni's point of view, specially because he filmed during that time - and not after, which would be easier to talk about. antonioni is hard to understand, all that signals, but i'm gonna try my best. and gonna watch it when feeling depressed...  lol

Well, it's true there were more dreams and hopes...but this movie kind of brings you abruptly to the end of a dream. Bad ending...and probably very realistic  Smiley
Enjoy with the vision  Wink

Went to see this recent movie with my daughter yesterday, and it's a very clever little animation film, from the makers of the Ice Age series, based on the 1954 book by dr Theodor Seuss Geisel (known as Dr Seuss).

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0451079/

It brings the message of how relative is everything, how on a speck of dust there can be another complex world that is unaware it's on a speck of dust...so not to underrate something just because it's little for us...for we may be little to "someone else" too  Grin
Anyway, enjoyable, clever, funny and very well made. If you have kids younger than 12, don't miss it.

Recently watched:

The Evil Dead - proper old-school low-budget horror 6/10

Slugs - absolutely atrocious acting and some of the voice soundtrack isn't even synced properly - 1/10 and 10/10 in equal measures  lol

Raiders of the Lost Ark - hadn't seen this since I was hella small - really enjoyed it 8/10

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - not quite as good as the previous one 7.5/10

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - not quite as good as the previous one 7/10

Into The Wild - wow.  watch it.  if you don't already know the plot, make sure you still don't know the plot before you watch it.  9/10

Gone Baby Gone - really good, not at all a film you want to be watching if you need cheering up though 8.5/10

can't remember all the films I've watched in the last month or so, but I did go and see The Dark Knight on release day here in the UK - tis really good, if a little over-hyped, a little lengthy, and not quite hitting the heights of Batman Begins.  Heath Ledger is worth all the praise he's been post-humously getting though, his Joker is truly remarkable.
