More goodies from Nib: I tried to do this way back and realized it was over my head. If you ever noticed on WV the traps and turrets and well fling further than default PK. I tried to make them actually shoot like a rocket where you aimed your crosshair but quickly realized I would have to be able to create code to make this work. Since I am clueless I gave up quickly. Nib was bored recently and made it work. You can now look upwards and sling traps pretty damned far kind of like a grenade toss. If you look straight down or out in front of you the traps actually will land where you aim them instead of the old way where they kinda flopped close to where you wanted them to go. Same deal with turrets and wells except they don't go as far. One pleasant thing you can now do is chuck traps, turrets, and wells down the pipe to the basement in Chithon. You can pretty much toss traps across a map that size onto your enemies easily.  Tons of laughs! I had "deathmatch 4" set on the server so we had unlimited everything. Did it so we could tinker with the new "flinging goodies" code. Used to be on Chithon you could not lob anything down the chute, it would stick at top right in front of you. No more!  Ever try to set a beatrap in an exact location only to have it lob too far? Well now you can aim it right where you want it to go (for the most part. Once your aim goes above the horizon it kinda lobs like a grenade and you need to account for that. Still beats the old way. FWIW, if you set server to "deathmatch 5" the maps start up with no crap laying around but players always spawn with full packs of all goodies.

I have brought back the vote hub from the grave on Weenieville. I changed the standard Painkeep maps to current, popular, custom maps. Unfortunately there are only 20 vote portals so I think I will create several of these hubs with a different set of 20 maps to vote for in each one.
All you, as a player, need to do is run around to each teleporter, see which map it points to, and run through the one corresponding to the map you want to vote for. You have 90 seconds, and can pick up goodies along the way. Deathmatching will be fruitless in this hub because I set it to make everyone red (666) for the duration.
The only thing I hate so far is the hub spews some centerprint crap I want to ditch because it keeps you from seeing the map names sometimes. Otherwise, give it a shot!
Oh yea, I have changed a couple maps like Factory and Egyptra so they dont have 3 freakin' gravity wells in a tiny area. I am also going to add a well to Predator's POPPK. When I make changes like this I will simply add pk on to the end of the bsp name so dont freak out if you end up downloading a map you think you already have.
