I have rolled back to an earlier version of the serer software in hopes that the extra bells and whistles of the more current releases help to cut down on packet loss. Last night the server was at .3 load and I was still seeing up to 10 in my PL column.
So I need some folks to run around and let me know if this change, along with a number of other server tweaks, has made a difference.

Ah, ha! Reset the priority on the QW server and it started running like a dream. So hopefully now MWP is back in business. Of course, we need a feel volunteers to give it a whirl during "normal playing hours"... Looks like it's game on for Saturday and/or Sunday!  |

Ran around in a level and PL was stable at 0, although it's not a busy moment and I was alone, it's still a good sign, for other times it wasn't as good  |

I want to thank everyone who participated in the MWP Needs YOUR Corpse experiment. This evening the server load spiked up to a full 18 and players on the QW server didn't experience any lag at all. This would indicate, at least for small groups, the QW server is ready to roll. Now... All we need to do is get 6, 8 or 10 of us in there to see what that does to the server.   |

Update: from about 8:45 pm to 9:30 Rome time I played a bit with Pred and Fulgency (and one more maybe?  ) and the server responded very well, no lag at all. Although still a small group, a positive test again |
