Anyway, here are next maps for our enjoyment. Recently I was looking through some old archives on my HD and found my favourite Quake maps I used to play long time ago. I decided that adding Painkeep goodies to those maps would be a great thing. Soon our community will have fun on really nice maps, they will really shine in PK. So far two great maps are ready: auhdm1pk auhdm2pk You can grab them here. Unzip to Painkeep/maps/.

Yes, those are very cool maps. Fights are fast, restless and brutal. I played many matches on those maps in vanilla Quake with my friends and with Omicron/Reaper bots. It was a long time ago but I still remember the pain. Now, with Painkeep items in, the pain will reach unprecedented level.

Yes, four new maps SINCE you got poppk, auhdm1pk and auhdm2pk. The new four maps are: p3apk, spearpk, omapk and rfpk. I saved you the trouble - all the names are in lower case.

Thank you for that. The maps are downloaded and extracted (thank God for that IE fix on the server). Will try to post them up to the server tonight. Right now I am adding them to the server.cfg file, but not restarting the server, so I will assume they will not show up until the server is restarted. We shall see.

Very cool. I can't wait to try them out. I killed and was killed on those maps many times in the past but it was never Painkeep. They should all ensure intense deathmatch and, of course, loads of pain. BTW - all of them play absolutely fine 1vs1 but they are also very well suited for smaller FFAs.

The four new maps are on the server and the cfg is updated. If updating the cfg does not require a restart of the server, they will show up in a map or two. If it does, they will show up the next time the server is restarted. I killed and was killed on those maps many times in the past but it was never Painkeep.
And I look forward to killing (and being killed by) you in these maps in Painkeep!
