Yikes, pk9.bsp is part of the original game. It should be in the pak0.pak in your \painkeep folder.

I shall look tonight.  I installed nQuake to a different directory than the original Quake/EZQuake directory, so I should still have the original files to copy over Smiley

I'm back BTW guys, my ISP (after several incidents of going bust, being taken over, new company invoking tighter controls on usage) have finally got their act together and I now have a faster connection and unlimited usage  Grin

Because it is inside pak0.pak in your \painkeep folder. Er, it is supposed to be. You do have the mod don't you? Perhaps you downloaded the whole mod connecting to the server? If so,

http://sh.stonks.com/files/pk111nwn.zip

Unzip that to your quake\painkeep\ folder. The maps you got the other day when I gave you the link belong in \painkeep\maps\.

sorted now, thanking ye - when I installed nQuake it appeared to recognise that I already had PK installed and copy the files over to the new location, however it appears that some didn't copy over

edit:   just played for a bit, switched from mwp to weenie, fine, switched again to bynars - pk12.bsp not found  Lips Sealed

How many bytes is the pak0.pak in your painkeep folder?

WT - I went to check and found that all of the files I'd copied over from my original install yesty had vanished from the new location - that would explain it not working then!

edit:  just ran around a bit on mwp, weenie and bynars (nobody about on any), then exited, all the files are still there, must've been a glitch yesty

The odd thing is you seem to have custom maps but are missing the mod original maps. So how big is your pak0.pak in your \painkeep folder again?

new high rez textures for aerowalk:

http://sh.stonks.com/files/aerowalk-pk_textures.zip

Found them in this thread at Quakeworld.nu:
http://quakeworld.nu/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3114

How to install:
Create a \textures folder inside either your \qw or \painkeep folder.
Unzip the aerowalk-pk folder and files in it to that folder.
