This is the name of a new album in the Gallery.
I decided to create it, inspired by Freestate's trip to Carinda in Australia some months ago, where the Let's Dance video promo was filmed:

http://www.mindwarppavilion.org/smf/index.php/topic,2187.0.html

In his trip, he took pictures of the pub, and I thought it could be nice if anyone did the same when he/she goes to a Bowie related place (places where Bowie lived, where promos or videos were filmed, places that inspired his music and albums, or even the theatres and arenas, stadiums, where he played in his tours).

The request is that we upload only pics that have been taken by members.
So for example if anyone happens to walk in front of the Astoria, he could take a pic and post it.
And so forth.
It would be nice to get pictures from all over the world of the places we frequently only heard of.
Of course if you already have photos from your past trips, even better.

As usual, pictures can be uploaded in the Incoming Files album, filling in titles (the place the pic refers to) and if possible, descriptions of the event (s) that took place there (the more detailed the better  Smiley )

Rats! I knew I should have gotten pictures at Earls Court and Milton Keynes when I was there last summer.

I know someone on BWW who went to the town in New Mexico where TMWFTE was filmed. I will have to try and get her to register here.

No, you did not  Wink
And I was going to ask you if you could do that, for your pics were very nice indeed.
Or I could do it for you, just let me know  Smiley

I have pics from the inside of several London venues he's played at, although none when he's been there  Sad  But I guess you don't want those as they have other bands in the pics and you can't really see much of the venues, I'm guessing you mainly want the outside of the venues?
I also have a pic taken from Central Park showing Essex House where he used to live - that of any interest?

Well, even if there are other bands and you can see the inside well, as a whole, and it is interesting (some theatres may well be worth it), I think it could be nice...you judge,  if it's only a pic of the stage with another band playing, I would say no, but if we have a good vision of a stadium, arena, or the inside of a historical theatre, yes.
The outside is ok anyway.
The Essex House would be great!  Smiley

How 'bout the russian venues? Those would be great to see too!  Smiley

I just wanted to add...of course if you guys/gals want to include yourselves in the pics of the venues or places, as Freestate did in the Carinda pub, even better!  Wink

A great picture! Will have to think about what is Bowie-related in Vienna besides the venues he played (but will take some time to make pix of these...)

I took some pics of the Olympia a few weeks ago for the making of the "Paris 2002 DVD" artwork. They were good enough for the artwork, but no so good for an upload in the gallery.

So I went back there yesterday during my lunch break and shot some new ones I've just uploaded.
I first asked the guy at the ticket office if I could take a few pics of the hall and then asked him if he'd seen Bowie there in 2002 and if there's a chance to see him here again. He replied "yes, I saw him in 2002, I took a day off, and that's a good thing because I don't think I'll live long enough to see him here live again"  Cry The guy seemed to be only 40  Shocked

Cheers !

Cheesy Don't be sorry Rossy. He was just kidding. What he meant was that Bowie might never perform again within the next 50 years or so.
