Yeah this looks very fantastic with this Mingus concert from Buenos Aires in his last tour, I haven't heard any concerts from the 1977, nah the last concert I have heard was the Montmartre in 1976-08-16, yeah it was nearly with the same line-up I see that it's only Robert Neloms that taking over the piano chair from Dannie Mixon, yeah both these piano player is unknown for me, more than both of them is on the Mingus album Cumbia & Jazz Fusion that was recorded in 1976-1977, and this line-up with is on the Three Or Four Shades Of Blues, and on the his final Lionel Hampton session, that have been released under some different names, but maybe someone else know more about them, because it should be very interesting to know, yeah after the Lionel Hampton sessions Mingus really made one more recording sessions in four days in January 1978, that made the albums Me Myself An Eye and Something Like A Bird, but Mingus was to sick to play himself on this sessions, he sat in a wheelchair and was to sick to pick up his bass, but he could direct the orchestra to play his tunes, yeah he lived one more year after that, but in January 1979 he passed away, and with his death the music scene lost one of the most important writer of the time, yeah I bet that this concert gonna be very enjoyable indeed, because what I heard with this his last group I think it's fantastic and their 1977 studio albums is great indeed, so I'm very happy to take this concert down from Mingus last tour, yeah you made a fantastic upload again.

Thank you popeye for sharing the Charles Mingus In Buenos Aires 3 June 1977   Grin

Although I wasn't there, he said I was his friend
Which came as some surprise I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone, a long long time ago
Oh no, not me, I never lost control
You're face to face, with the man who sold the world

You're welcome my dear friend, great names can't live eternal but Mingus, as many other Jazz legends, lived to short
There was still so many creativity on his mind
But all the beauties he left us are piece by piece on a high level of entertaining, the more I listen to Mingus the more I get the feeling he is what jazz means all about
The mingle of african music and dance traditions with the West Indian and European music styles the accentmoves and the chats, not by word, but by any instrument in his band the use of blues and ragtime style, kicking asses like in Fables of Faubus, Song with Orange,Cell Block F 'tis Nazi Usa...etc
He did what Jazz also stands for, play in freedom as one can hear in his arrangements
Now while I'm listening to another fine booty I stop writing Qasiqasi coz he ask all my attention now Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Have a great time with this one Bow

Oh yes I gonna have a marvelous time indeed with this one I have already listen to it once, and after I have listen to it some more times I gonna come back for giving some more comments and try to rate it too, so it gonna give me some enjoyable time, when I was writing my first comment I was in the shelf and looking to my Mingus album and thought about his last time on earth, yeah I thought about a documentary I saw once of Mingus too, yeah that was a very great one indeed, yeah I have read his biography From The Underdog or something like that, yeah I read it in another language than English so I really don't remember the title, yeah the book gave me lot of his thinking and how he became a musician in his early day, but the documentary gave me a very wonderful view of his last days of musician.

Yeah the Mingus documentary I saw was made of love, so that one is very joyfull to see, but it was so long time ago I saw it, it must have been about 5-10 years ago, but I still care that one in my heart.

Yeah I was about to log out when I saw the La Spezia to pop up, so I'm on it already  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
yeah it definitely looks like a fantastic FM from the wonderful European 1975 tour.

Thank you for being so nice to bring me that gift.

Oh just have listen to this performance, yeah definitely a five star when the last tour of this genuis that really lift off in the mid 50's but he started to record much earlier, but it was in the mid 50's he started to devolop to the music he play on this last tour, yeah I got a couple of his last albums and they are still great, yeah it seems that the 70's was fantastic for Mingus and his music, and this is a fantastic concert too, yeah Jack Walrath shows once again what a fantastic trumpet player he is, so I really need to check out after some albums by him, yeah Jack started to record his own albums after the Mingus days in 1979, and Robert Neloms is another fantastic piano player that he got on his last albums, yeah they really make a marvelous version of Three Or Four Shades Of Blues, yeah it's just wonderful to be able to enjoy that tune in this concert, so I'm very happy to expend my Mingus collection with this fantastic performance of five wonderful musiciand led by Mingus.
