Goa, for a few months I've been using Online Armor to which I switched from Zone Alarm Free. It works like a charm so if you want to you can try it too.
Comodo should be fine as well though.

I use avast + zone alarm  + spybot and they all work together perfectly  Smiley

I'm trying:
avast
Comodo
Ad-Aware

I switched off all the resident shields of avast, except the standard protection.
why?
I supposed that Comodo is checking already all internet issues...and wanted to not double chek.

I'm OK?

Hi, cause  this issues , I have some questions
http://www.mindwarppavilion.org/smf/low-techs-at-the-wheel/should-my-dvd-drive-go-to-the-garbage-t5382.0.html;msg83941#msg83941

I' ve been using at work PC the three softwares above (avast, Comodo, Ad-Aware 2008 free).

Now at home PC finally kicked out damn Panda.

1) avast: is there any setting to make it a scan on demand, but instead asking you what to do each time find viruses or whatever malicious, ask you at the end what to do. I mean, is a lil anoying seeing you left the PC making a scan on demand, and to find is stoped just at 20% of files checked, asking you what to do.

Later, about Comodo annoying issues...

during the scan when avast finds a first virus it stops and asks you what operation you want to perform (move to chest, delete...). you then have the possibility to check the box "don't ask me again" (or somerthing like that) at the bottom of the interface, so it won't stop scanning until it reaches 100%.
all you have to do is check the log file at the end of the scan to see how many viruses were found.  Smiley
