My AVG Free edition is prompting me to upgrade to "AVG Internet Security" since a few days.
Is any of you using this?

To most people, David Bowie is little more than a commodity of pop music since the release of whichever Guitar Hero game features the track “Ziggy Stardust,” which wasn’t even a single.

No.
It's antivirus+antispy+firewall, but I prefer to run separate programs.

 lol
Actually Zone Alarm Free does a similar thing from time to time - it suggests getting some form of a complete security suite, which is, of course, not free.

Hi Piras,

the best antivirus available is... yourself!  lol (for example, i don't use any).
if u really need to open some potential infected file, choose & install a PROFESSIONAL antivirus (with internet security + antispyware) OR verify it before in some online engine. there's some PROF packs at "thepiratebay," "mininova," "chilewarez" etc (with cracker or keygen).

anyways, you will never be 100% protected even with the PROF ones. Wink
and forget about free editions...

take care ( literally!  Cheesy ),
gisele gillan.

Isn't that why we are all here?   Cry Cry

Kidding!  Cheesy

I realize its an old thread but I have something to contribute. Here are a couple of online engines that use many of the popular antivirus apps to check each file you upload to it:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
http://www.virustotal.com/

Personally, I locally run NOD32 by Eset because it is lean and considered reliable. I use Kerio Personal Firewall to keep an eye on my outgoing connections.

When I do download suspect stuff and upload it to the above 2 links I am amazed at the crap they see which my scanner does not. Pretty much makes you want to run Linux or get a Mac.

Oh yea, I really wasn't kidding.   Angry
