Dear Pissed Off From England
Have you heard or read about the I plate? Lips Sealed

The  reviews are very good and I have bought one (for a tenner you cannot go wrong). I will be fitting it later this week and will report back but my fingers are crossed that I see an improvement. Undecided

I'd be interested to know if it works.
BT actually admitted to me that my line was being restricted to 1mb/s at the exchange although they would not tell me why! I'm paying for 8mb/s and actually only being allowed 1mb/s!! I think it is time for myself and BT to part company.

It won't work if BT are throttling your line, as the speed is being artificially limited by the ISP and nothing to do with the quality of your line, so it sounds like a waste of money for your situation

Well I fitted it in 10 minutes.

I was connecting at 1.2 Mbps that has increased to 1.3 Mbps so there has been a slight increase. They say it needs a few days to settle down so I will keep a eye on it. Undecided
