I've been thinking for a long time about cataloguing my music collection so that I have a record of all my CDs, storing info on catalogue numbers, record label, format, info on special editions etc.

The initial idea was just going to be a simple spreadsheet, then that ballooned into me teaching myself how to write a database in Access (or the OpenOffice.org equivalent), but then I thought that I can't be the only person anal enough to want such a thing, so there must be software out there!

I've had a quick search on t'internet and could only find a couple of paid-for applications, I was wondering if anyone knew of any freeware options?  If there's nothing freely available I'd rather have a stab at making summat myself than have to pay for summink!
