I have 38" to fit a TV in my entertainment center and look'n for the best bang for the buck.   Wink  I've narrow'd it down to 2 choices:

VO37LF - 37" CLASS LCD FHDTV or 37LG60 - 37" LCD TV (Widescreen)?

Any thoughts?

Never heard of Vizio.  I have a 37" LG whose model number is similar to that that I'm very pleased with (it's about a year old now).  Also know a couple of other people with LGs who are also very happy with theirs  Smiley

BTW I never got my head round the fact that you yankees seem to prefer the 4:3 aspect ratio - I remember being in (the soon to be sadly demised) Virgin Megastore in Times Square and being struck by the fact that most of the DVD releases over there were stocked mainly in the 4:3 version with a few widescreen offerings - over here you couldn't buy a 4:3 DVD if you tried!

Missed this last night. Duh Will do some research tonight.

Hmmm... Too many people in the USofA, methinks. Makes it real hard (and not very profitable) to quickly change standards. I can assure you, as of today, the we are catching up with the rest of the world. I haven't seen a fullscreen video in the store or for rent in ages and as February of this year all network stations are mandated to broadcast in digital. Cheesy

It seems, overall, that the "experts" rate these fairly evenly.

To the video snob, the LG seems the better product and supposedly has a great picture. However, at the price point and the number of connections, the Vizio is probably the better choice for the family TV. The only knock that would make me pause is that some reviewers claim the blacks on the Vizio have a greenish tint. That would drive me nuts... Not sure about you. Wink

Thank you both.  Smiley

I'm go'n to sit back and really think on this one.  I like the LG, but can grab the Vizio for $150.00 USD less.  I've talk'd to several folks that just love their Vizio picture quality, but I'll have to ask 'em about the black be'n on the "green" side.  However, I think the LG does have enough connections to suit my needs.  Undecided

Yup... That's some nice connections!!!

This weekend I had to pop $100 for an HDMI switch as my Sony only has one HDMI port. What a PITA!!!
