That was me. I have been toying with some stuff on the server for the past couple of weeks. Most of it has been good as the site is running much, much faster even though it is handling ~800,000 requests a day. The software that caused the error was great, and would have been a fantastic addition, but unfortunately our little server just doesn't have the resources to run it.  Anyway, expect issues through this weekend as I finish up my work.  |

Naw... I think I will use this weekend to finalize everything and then spend some down time over Easter. Well, unfortunately due to the TOS with the provider, I can not even hint at suggesting anything... But I will say this... The inclusion of these things on the site is all about trying to generate enough monthly revenue to offset the cost of a better hosting solution so the site has room to grow. Trust me, at the buck or two a day these things generate, I am not quitting my day (or two night) jobs.  Furthermore, I tried to make them as out of the way as possible for members and only guests get the ugly one at the top of the page (and God bless them for using it!). No popups. No swat the fly games. No talk to you crap. Just a few links and the occasional image. |
