Review as per BASSMANS BOWIE PAGE

http://www.algonet.se/~bassman/bootlegs/index.html

Thank God for Australian bootleggers! This is the most interesting release in years.  For the first time is this very rare and odd BBC recording available on disc, and it is complete! Bowie and Ronson play as a duo, so the versions are very "stripped", but never the less performed splendidly. The two other radio sessions are with Bowie and Gabrels as a duo, and were recorded for two different US radio stations. I don't know if the dates for those two sessions are recording dates or broadcast dates? SCARY MONSTERS is played in a so called "country" version, and is actually very good! All of the songs are great versions, and it's a pity that THE SUPERMEN wasn't played in full.  The original pressing of this CD had a fault in EIGHT LINE POEM, and all copies except for 10 were destroyed. These ten discs have a different title and a different cover.  The title on the cover is UNDER THE TABLE and has a different picture. The back insert is in black and white only and has thicker letters than the normal cover. The discs have credits to Tao Jones on them plus the original title. All sessions on the disc are in excellent sound quality. A true must!

To most people, David Bowie is little more than a commodity of pop music since the release of whichever Guitar Hero game features the track “Ziggy Stardust,” which wasn’t even a single.

I was wondering too, since we're all stuck at 99.94 %. But let's wait for the uploader to come back and see what happens.

the uploader is listed as a leech with 99.94% as well. would it be possible for someone to contact Wowizowi to try and fix it ? i'm afraid i have no experience of making torrents, but it looks like the info file is the problem, so maybe it was changed to amend the dates ?

My best guess is that the uploader modified or deleted a file from the torrent directory and it "broke" the upload.  If somone happens to have this on an SJA or from the old SJ download, they should be able to connect to it and finish it (note: the SJA version will require renaming some files).

If the uploader does not return in the next 24 hours, I will do what I can to get this sorted. Undecided

EDIT: By the way, you can still get to the torrent by going here:

I have this one on my hard drive now.  One of the txt files on my version is different from the original upload, so this will not finish.  If the uploader does not get this sorted by tomorrow evening, I will ban this torrent and upload a new version.

The good news is that 99.9% of your download will carry over to the new torrent. Smiley

Yes, because if it will be reuploaded it uses the same content, so if you have 99% you only have 1% to go. So in the meantime people can get as much as possible from you and others.

Thanks Bewley and to everybody else for being cool.  Sorry about the delay, but without thinking I had modified the fingerprint.txt.  If you notice track 17 will be first.  I noticed this after seeding and changed it to be in order.  I learned my lesson and it will never happen again.  Enjoy!

I am glad you have it sorted and people are able to finish.

My only suggestion is if something like this happens again, please leave a message letting people know you are having problems and that you are working on it.  It's a sick feeling to have downloaded 99.9% of a torrent and not know if you'll ever have the chance to finish. Wink
