On the Home Page we have a list of the orphaned torrents, that is, torrents that need a seed.
At times this list gets really big and lonesome, and maybe if we all threw a glance at it now and then we could occasionally jump back in and help out the folks hanging there...without waiting for them to come in the forum and ask for a seed  Wink

Mods and Adm can't do it all, so it's also up to the membership to keep the downloading and uploading rolling.
Besides, it would help increase share ratio and credits.
Thanks  Smiley

I always keep an eye on it, however I have a habit of leaving all my torrents from here seeding whenever I have uTorrent running (possibly not the best course of action, I'm guessing), and I tend to pause ones that are well-seeded and allocate more bandwidth to ones I'm the only seed on  Smiley

I too try to jump on as many as possible, but manage it so that I can give the most bandwidth to the torrents in the most need.

I am still considering a "minimum participation" requirement to download certain torrents in the future. So it certainly behooves the membership to earn as many credits as possible. Wink

I try to keep open torrent until a leecher begins to seed BUT very often i see leechers who cut connection at 100%, it's really a shame because i can't delete my torrents to save place on my hard disk and i have a limited bandwidth...

Sorry to have missed this one...

I tend to pick one or two torrents and seed the hell out of them, but once they go cold I get rid of them. Although the idea of lending a hand is noble, there has to be a reasonable expectation of when a torrent is no longer productive.

That being said, if someone then requests a reseed in the forum, I tend to try and reopen the torrent. In other words, I try to help people who are proactive in helping themselves rather than worrying too much about people who just leave their client open.

I agree. Torrents have a certain life cycle and die. When someone is proactive and asks for someone to help out he needs to be helped. Just showing up as a leecher is not enough in my opinion.
