- Be familiar with the
MWP Guides for audio and video torrents and follow them as much as possible when you create a torrent. They can be found in the forum in the “Service Desk”
- All torrents must be music-related.
- As a general rule it’s prohibited to distribute official material. However, we discourage editing out the official material so only the unrealeased material can be torrented. Instead it is advised to contact one of the moderators prior to uploading when you’re in doubt.
-No torrent may distribute any material of artists, either individuals or bands, who do not agree to the electronic distribution of their unofficially recorded live shows. For a list of bands/artists see our
Not Allowed Bands list (NAB list).
-No torrent may contain compressed archive files, e.g. .RAR, .ZIP etc.
-No torrent may distribute disc image files (e.g. .ISO, .IMG, .NGR, .CDR, or the like) or uncompressed archives (such as .TAR).
-Torrents need to have a self-explanatory title and detailed description indicating all contents.
-No torrent may contain uncompressed PCM audio files like .WAV, .AIFF
-Microsoft Windows executable filetypes like .EXE and .COM are not allowed in a torrent because of the risk of carrying viruses.
-Any torrent that does not comply with the etiquette rules has a risk of being (temporarily) banned by one of the moderators.
