Joe Satriani and Steve Vai Improvisations

1. Jam One 07:22
2. Jam Two 03:56
3. Jam Three 07:09
4. Jam Four 03:33

Time: 22:09

Recorde in Steve Vai's home studio, this recording captures master and student in a free-form context, having fun and NOODLING away to their heart's content!

No lineage known other than the participants and the location; ripped from a boot of the same name and shared here as I received it.

Thanks schleprock!

(I'm not a particular fan of either of these guys music - no offense to the fans - but this looks interesting.)

Again, I'm not a big fan of either of these guys but certainly appreciate the skillz on show.

Most guitar flash is dirty but this comes across mightily clean. In all honesty, I found it boring aside from track one. (Maybe because I played it in order?) I can't tell one guitar guru from the other. Both extremely talented but probably only exciting to Robert Fripp or those who aspire to be Frippish?

Nice sounding recording but of little interest to the casual listener. Having said that, thank you for the upload!

.

I'm hardly any guitar master, but I do love hearing a wide range of styles and experimentations.  This torrent is a wonderful little electric interlude.

Anyone who enjoys complex and unique guitar work, I urge you to grab this one.  It has a nice, clean sound (some parts cut).  I don't see myself looping it for a few hours, but it's in my playlist and comes around about every other day.  After a dozen or so listen-throughs, I have no desire to take it out of play.

Each time it comes around, I find myself wandering in a realm of mastery I only can dream about obtaining.

It's fun to draw parallels with other pop-licks that have been 'lifted' from these masters over the years.

Thank you very much for upping this one!!

I had waited for time to change her
the only change that came was over me
she pretended not to want love
I hope she was only fooling me
so when you look into the sun
look for the pleasures nearly won
or was it better than to run
than to spend the summer singing
and summer could have come in a day
